Enabling a greener
future at sea

At Norwegian Electric Systems, sustainability is central to our mission and innovation.

We aim to drive positive change in the maritime industry by designing solutions that reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency, and limit environmental impact. Each product and service is created with a clear purpose: to support a cleaner, safer, and sustainable future at sea.

 

Our ambition is to enable the green shift at sea through solutions and actions for low and zero emissions, improved energy efficiency and limited footprint across product’s life cycle.

 

Sustainability strategy

Sustainability drives our work at NES and is fundamental to our strategy and operations.

We envision a maritime future that aligns with the Paris Agreement, prioritizing energy efficiency, ocean health, and inclusive, safe practices for all.

In 2023, we began refining our sustainability strategy to ensure that our goals and commitments continue to align with the evolving needs of the industry and environment.

NES’s sustainability efforts reflect our dedication to a cleaner, safer future at sea, making sustainable growth and innovation part of our core values and daily work.

At NES, we drive the green transition in the maritime industry by:

Driving change by 2030

Norwegian Electric Systems is dedicated to supporting the Paris Agreement’s target to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, ideally 1.5 degrees, compared to pre-industrial levels. We are aligned with the full UN 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with a focused commitment to those goals where we can make the greatest impact.
